Rotary Youth Leadership Experience

These students will soon be enjoying an experience of a lifetime at the Rotary Youth Leadership Experience (RYLE).   RYLE is an annual conference hosted by the RYLE Committee and sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of District 5370. This experience is intended for high school students (grades 9 to 12) who would like to gain or strengthen their leadership skills and learn how to be active citizens who strive to make a positive impact in the world.

The programming of the camp has three main focuses: interpersonal growth, communication, and community building and global citizenship. Students are encouraged to take part on a challenge-by-choice basis and ample opportunity is given for each participant to express their individuality and test their strengths.

Thank you to Doreen Opsal for sharing the exciting news with our students that the Whitecourt Rotary Club and the Gateway Edmonton Rotary Club has generously sponsored them to attend this valuable camp. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
